Full time position mid February- end of December 2024 (with possibility to continue)

The role will include:

• Greenhouse seeding, care and management of nursery crops.

• Poly tunnel growing to include 1/3 acre tomato production and 1 acre of covered Spanish poly tunnel production. 

• 5 acres of field production including soft fruit and mixed vegetables. 

• Working with a small team to ensure jobs are completed to schedule.

• Management of irrigation.

• Weekly farm walk and planning meeting with farm manager.

• Harvesting and occasional packing.

Essentials:

• A minimum of 2 seasons’ experience in commercial organic horticulture.
• Passion, ambition and self motivation with an ability to work both in a small team and independently.

• Great communication skills.

• Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks.

• Excellent work ethic with an eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently to a high standard.

• Physically fit with a willingness to work in all weathers. 

• A sense of humour :)

• Full UK Drivers licence.

Non-essentials :

• Management experience (any industry)
•Tractor driving experience (including using PTO powered implements)

£24,000 - £26,000 PA, pro rata depending on experience.
